Programs

Since 2009, College Tribe has been dedicated to the growth of our mentorship program, successfully reaching over 500 boys. Through our program, young boys develop relationships with their mentors, peers and fellow participants. The mentoring program has evolved to include an advanced curriculum created by the Mendez Foundation. The “Too Good for Violence Social-Emotional Learning Curriculum” is an evidence-based program with pre- and post-curriculum assessments. Studies show the program’s ability to increase social competence increased by an average of 71% for engaged students. We are confident that the inclusion of this program in College Tribe programming will yield similar success.

Since 2016, we have supported the STEM education of our boys with additional tutoring. Our tutoring program was developed in house with the help of our board members with education experience. With the support of their tutors, our boys consistently achieve mastery in 70% or more of their Common Core skills. College Tribe tracks student progress and provides continuous diagnostic information to parents.
